About the role:

We are seeking a talented Junior/Intermediate Lighting Designer to join our team and provide crucial support alongside our senior technical members on lighting design and technical tasks required for lighting projects. The successful candidate will receive training to develop their skills and become a complete lighting designer.

Responsibilities:

• Produce lighting and controls CAD layouts and schematics.

• Create 3D visualisations to illustrate lighting effects.

• Provide technical support to clients for luminaires and controls.

• Support the marketing manager with producing engaging product promotion materials.

• Provide support to a wide variety of client types such as Lighting Designers, Interior Designers, Architects, Electrical Engineers, Electricians, end users, etc.

Requirements:

• CAD capabilities to a sufficient level for drawing out lighting plans, block creation, and schematic for controls.

• An Interior Design or Architecture background would be advantageous.

• Experience or training in 3D rendering software design such as SketchUp, Blender, Unreal 5, or 3D Max.

• Willingness to learn is a must, along with a keen interest in technology and innovation.

• Previous experience in Lighting or smart controls is highly desirable.

• Good English written skills are essential.

• IT literate and familiarity with software such as MS Office. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign will also be beneficial.

• Good communication skills are essential, with proficiency in phone and conference etiquette.

• Experience or willingness to learn lighting-specific software such as Relux, Dialux, Agi32, and others is a must.

Training:

For trainee-level candidates, training will be provided in the area of architectural lighting and relevant lighting design software.
