Features of Casambi Controls
Compatibility
Casambi controls will work with any lighting type. It supports the most common lighting control methods with more manufacturers choosing CASAMBI BLE as their default controls protocol for wireless connectivity.
Inline Modules
Casambi works by having individual luminaires or groups of luminaires connected and controlled by inline modules. Each Inline module is individually addressed and configurable by the Casambi App, allowing allocation to scenes, switches, PIR control etc.
Only a power feed is needed (mains or low voltage depending on controller types). Aditional items such as blinds, plugs or fans etc, can be controlled by Casambi inline controllers too.
Wireless Switches
Casambi wireless switches offer flexible, cable-free control of your lighting and other smart devices—ideal for both new builds and retrofit projects. Compatible with a wide range of styles and finishes, these switches can trigger scenes, animations, or individual fixtures at the touch of a button.

Casambi App
At the heart of the Casambi ecosystem is the intuitive and constantly evolving Casambi app, available on both iOS and Android devices—including the Apple Watch.
It puts full lighting control at your fingertips, allowing you to create scenes, set timers, adjust brightness and colour temperature, and automate your lighting effortlessly. Designed for both residential and commercial use, the app offers a user-friendly interface that makes advanced lighting control simple and accessible.
Circadian Lighting
With the built-in Circadian lighting profiles which can be configured to your requirements, Casambi makes it easy to control Tuneable White lighting products for true Biodynamic lighting.
Timers and manual time-based scenes can be set or you can allow any compatible tunable white or artificial daylight system run from the automated Circadian light curve.
This feature is particularly useful where the need for artificial daylighting is required, helping mimic the right light appearance for the right time of day.
Sunrise + Sunset Timers
With the Casambi App, you can automate your lighting to follow the natural rhythm of the day using sunrise and sunset timers.
You can adjust lighting scenes automatically to create a warm, welcoming light in the morning and calming ambience at dusk.
It’s an ideal feature for homes and businesses looking to enhance comfort, save energy, and stay in tune with nature.
Sensors, Security & Energy Savings
Casambi PIRs work like wireless switches—they only need power (or a battery for the Lig Air PIR) and can be placed anywhere. They don’t require wiring to light circuits; instead, you assign them to lights, groups, or scenes via the Casambi app.
For added security, outdoor PIRs can trigger both exterior and select indoor lights when you're away, simulating occupancy.
With daylight sensing, PIRs also help reduce energy use by providing automatic, efficient lighting control.
